FAQs

Can I apply for a property without viewing?

No.  We do not rent sight unseen, you or a representative must schedule and attend a showing.

How do I schedule an appointment to view a property?

Each person 18 and older must submit a completed application. From there, we will call the primary applicant to schedule a viewing. We can schedule appointments Monday-Friday from 10am-4:30pm

How much is your application fee?

Our fee is $15 per adult applicant, anyone over the age of 18, this can be in the form of cash or check.

Can I use my application for more than one property?

Yes.  Your application is good with us for up to one year and can be applied to any of our rentals, should another applicant be chosen. Please note on your application which property you’d like to prioritize.

What if I have bad or no credit?

We are looking to rent to applicants whose credit score is at 650 or above, have a stable, verifiable gross income of at least three times the rent of the place they’re applying for, and can provide excellent references. It is unlikely that we will place an applicant with a credit score below 650 and a score below 600 will not be considered.

Can I have a cosigner?

We do not accept cosigners and only rent to those who will be occupying the property, but you are more than welcome to submit an application and let us know your situation before we proceed with processing your application.

Do you take section 8 or Housing Assistance?

Yes.  All our properties take Section 8 and Housing Assistance.

Do you accept pets?

Short Answer: Yes, sometimes.

Long Answer: It will be noted in the description if that property accepts pets, If accepted, there is an additional $300 per dog and $200 per cat added to the Security Deposit. If the animal is an ESA or Service Animal, we will ask for the proper documentation before your application is fully processed, regardless of the age of the person that requires the ESA or Service Animal.

Where do I turn in my application?

You can drop off your application(s) at our office located at 715 E. Grand Ave Suite B. in Arroyo Grande, CA, 93420. If it is outside of business hours or our office is closed, please use the mail slot on our office door to drop off your application and fee or you can email it to us at rentals@popemgt.com and pay the fee separately.
